All of our work is performed inside enclosed, heated shops that provide protection from the weather while we prep and paint your boat bottom to our high standards. Strong, overhead hoists allow us to lift boats into the air giving us full access to your hull and ensuring we achieve 100% coverage – no missed spots, no shortcuts.

Absolutely! We do a great job on sailboats. We apply bottom paint using special rollers that achieve a very a smooth finish. For sailboats with fixed iron keels, we typically sandblast, apply rust treatment as needed and then epoxy barrier coatings and antifoul paint to restore and protect the keel. Retractable keels and rudders also can be prepped and painted. Please bring your lifting bridle if you have one, also remove your rig and loose gear to extent possible.
We use to operate on a first come basis but we’ve gotten too busy and our yard is too small to handle boats just randomly showing up so we are now maintaining a schedule/wait list. We’ll get back to you right away to discuss your job including a rough price quote and a date that we can take it in that hopefully fits your needs. We focus on trailerable boats because the larger waterfront yards prioritize working on bigger vessels that they can pick out of the water with travel lifts. This typically leads to delays and poor service for small boat owners that try to use the big shops for bottom jobs. Our yard and shop equipment is different and better suited for working on trailered boats in the 16’ to 38’ size ranges.
Our pricing is based on a fixed rate per foot, using your boat’s manufacturer’s stated length. The per foot rate varies depending on hull type, condition, and the amount of preparation needed. Additional services, such as painting offshore brackets, trim tabs, motor mounts, repairing hull issues, etc. will incur extra charges. Tight estimates are provided during check-in, quotes provided by phone or digital means on unseen boats are rough estimates subject to change upon arrival of boat in our yard.
We can accommodate trailered boats up to 38 feet in length, with beams no greater than 13 feet and a maximum weight of 24,000 lbs. Additionally, boats cannot exceed 13’ 8” in height sitting on their trailer. If your boat fits these dimensions and is trailerable, we can provide an excellent bottom painting job.
To prepare your boat for bottom painting, please:
- Remove any loose gear (rods, tackle, cushions, coolers, etc.)
- Empty or remove portable toilets
- Drain or winterize fresh water systems
- Batteries to be charged and engine trim systems to be functional
- Fold down antennas and anchor lights, secure windows & doors
- Remove & take drain plug, boat keys and trailer tie-down straps
- For sailboats, please remove the standing rigging before arrival
